Gloverall Monty Union Jack Lined Duffle Coat Made in England LRegular price £295.00 GBP
In 1950 after the end of World War II, H&F Morris purchased a large amount of surplus military duffle coats which quickly sold out – this prompted the beginning of Gloverall. Expanding the business from exclusively duffle coats to producing car coats and reefer jackets they quickly established themselves as a leader in British casual outerwear.
Named after the iconic wartime commander Field Marshal Montgomery, the Monty coat has established itself as a classic British design. It bears the brand's hallmark wooden toggles and jute rope fastenings. This duffle is made from a hard wearing double faced woollen fabric and finished with a cotton herringbone webbing interior. The oversized fit gives you space to layer up underneath. Internally this coat has a part Union Jack lining. Made in England.
Used and in good condition with general signs of wear, there is a small area of discolouration to the front left (as worn) upper edge of the patch pocket. There have been some orange upper arm patches added to the coat to add interest and to cover over a sun damaged upper arm on one side.
All our used listings - unless otherwise stated - have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
