Woolrich has been synonymous with quality outdoor clothing for over 180 years. Founded in 1830 by John Rich and Daniel McCormick, Woolrich is the oldest manufacturer of outdoor wear in the USA.
The Woolrich hunting coat originated in the 1800s and is still as popular today. The rugged shell helps ward off the fiercest weather. It's not only warm, but it sheds water, and the tight weave keeps out the cold. Made in the USA. The label dates this garment to approx the late 1940s/ 1950s, as this is when the (R) symbol in 1947 along with this particular ram design.
Used and in good overall vintage condition considering it is approx 70 years old, with general signs of wear and abrasion throughout from use. The internal patch pocket has been removed and there are some marks to the lower lining. The fabric under the right (as worn) lower front pocket has perished in part but does not affect the use of the pocket. Not quite perfect but plenty of character and still many years of wear left.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear and will not smell like new, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
