The Hirsch-Weis Manufacturing Company of Portland, Oregon, made durable outdoor clothing and supplies worn by loggers, mill hands, and stockmen. Hirsch-Weis was founded when brothers Max S. and Leopold B. Hirsch purchased the Willamette Tent and Awning Company, a manufacturer of sails for deepwater ships, from E Henry Wemme in 1907.
This is a vintage Hirsch Weis 40s era Buffalo Plaid Mackinaw Hunting Jacket. Used and in fair to good vintage condition considering it is approx 70 years old, with general signs of wear, abrasion and discolouration throughout. The back neck hanger loop has come away as well as the top button loop showing strong signs of wear. There are also some small marks to the upper back yoke as well as there being a small patch repair to the back left arm (as worn). Not quite perfect but plenty of character and still many years of wear left in this corker of a jacket.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear and will not smell like new, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
