The M-1951 field jacket was a US Army four pocket jacket made of 9-ounce wind resistant water repellent treated cotton sateen cloth in Olive Green Shade 107 (OG 107). It was based on the M-1943 field jacket that was replaced by the similar M-1950 field jacket that had inside buttons for a button-in liner. The M-1951 was given snap fasteners instead of buttons and a zipper.
This is a vintage US Army M-1951 OG-107 Wind Resistant jacket with a Prentice aluminium front zipper. Made in the USA. The internal print dates this to 1958.
Used and in fair to good vintage condition with general heavy signs of wear, abrasion, discolouration/ marks throughout. The cuff ends have heavily frayed and split on the folds and there is also fraying to the hemline. Not quite perfect but considering the age it still has plenty of wear left in the tank. Freshly laundered and ready for its new owner.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
