The N-2B parka was introduced in the mid 1950s for U.S. Air Force air and ground crews and replaced the N-2A. Some of the classic Mil-Spec features were the front pass-through pockets (so pilots could reach their pants pockets without being exposed to sub-freezing temps), split hood that unzips to lay flat, and the zippered utility/pencil pocket (also called the cigarette pencil pocket) with pencil point protectors.
This is a vintage Vietnam era N-2B USAF military snorkel hood parka with a real fur trim hood. The back neck label dates this to 1970. Made in the USA by Lancer Clothing Corporation.
Used and generally in good vintage condition with general signs of wear and some light marks to the back, the hem/ cuff ribs have had stitch repairs and there are still holes. Not quite perfect but this is still a quality jacket now 50 years old with many years of wear still left. Steamed and ready for its new owner.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear and will not smell like new, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
EXTERNAL MEASUREMENTS: Please check against a similar garment of your own that fits you well, measuring flat and fully zipped or buttoned up (if applicable) on a flat surface:
