Schott NYC (Schott Bros) located in New York USA, was founded in 1913 by brothers Irving and Jack Schott. They were the first company to put a zipper on a jacket, created the classic Perfecto biker jacket, and made clothing for the US Armed Forces during WWII. Schott is still owned by the Schott family and still manufacture much of their clothing in the United States.
The Type A-2 leather flight jacket is an American military flight jacket originally invented and developed for and closely associated with World War II U.S. Army Air Force pilots, navigators and bombardiers.
This is a vintage Schott A-2 style leather jacket. Made in the USA. The zip and branded poppers date this jacket to circa 1980s.
Used and generally in good vintage condition with general signs of wear and abrasion throughout. Also bobbling to the rib cuffs and hem and a hole to the lining near to the zip chest area. The detachable collar and zip out lining are missing from the jacket.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear and will not smell like new, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
EXTERNAL MEASUREMENTS: Please check against a similar garment of your own that fits you well, measuring flat and fully zipped or buttoned up (if applicable) on a flat surface:
