Vintage 80s M-65 Woodland Camouflage Field Coat USAF Cotton Military Jacket S
The M-65 field coat was first issued to the U.S. Armed Services in 1965 as a replacement for the M-51 field coat. The M-65 represented the culmination of field coat design, drawing on the technological developments of the M-43 and M-51 field coats used in WWII and Korea. The M-65 also used the covered zipper and snap front closure from the M-51 that allowed soldiers to crawl on their stomachs without the jacket opening and snagging on obstacles.
This is a vintage US Air Force M-65 cold weather jacket with woodland camouflage pattern and two chest badges and two arm badges. The label dates this jacket to 1984 and the manufacturer was John Ownbey Company, Inc. Made in USA, this is an iconic field jacket.
Used and in good vintage condition with general signs of wear, discolouration and abrasion throughout. The bottom of the zip tape has frayed on the left side (as worn) but still works fine. Freshly laundered and ready for its new owner.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
EXTERNAL MEASUREMENTS: Please check against a similar garment of your own that fits you well, measuring flat and fully zipped or buttoned up (if applicable) on a flat surface:
