This is a pair of US Army ERDL 2nd Generation Camo Hot Weather Combat Trousers with plenty of pockets for all your kit. The internal label dates these pants to 1978 as well as the manufacturer being R.R Ferguson Inc. Made in the USA.
The ERDL pattern, also known as the Leaf pattern, is a camouflage pattern developed by the United States Army at its Engineer Research & Development Laboratories (ERDL) in 1948. It was not used until the Vietnam War, when it was issued to elite reconnaissance and special operations units. This 2nd Generation ERDL uniform was primarily distributed to members of the Rapid Deployment Force and the USMC (along with some special operations personnel), but was officially only in production from 1979 to 1981.
Used and in fair to good vintage condition with general signs of wear, abrasion and discolouration. The cinch waist adjustable belt on the left side (as worn) has come away through fraying as well as there being minor tiny holes to the lower left leg. Still a great bit of a kit with a cracking washed and worn look. Freshly laundered and ready for a new owner.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.
COLOUR: ERDL Camouflage
SIZE: Small Reg. Actual trouser waist measurement is 30in so this should be a good fit if you typically take jeans in size 28in or 30in (UK Sizing), as the pants have side cinches but it depends how loose you like to wear (please see below for all key measurements to check against a similar garment of your own to ensure a good fit).
FABRIC: 100% Cotton

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
EXTERNAL MEASUREMENTS: Please check against a similar garment of your own that fits you well, measuring flat and fully zipped or buttoned up on a flat surface.
