The M-65 field coat was first issued to the U.S. Armed Services in 1965 as a replacement for the M-51 field coat. The M-65 represented the culmination of field coat design, drawing on the technological developments of the M-43 and M-51 field coats used in WWII and Korea. The M-65 also used the covered zipper and snap front closure from the M-51 that allowed soldiers to crawl on their stomachs without the jacket opening and snagging on obstacles.
This is a vintage US Army M-65 cold weather jacket with woodland camouflage pattern. The label dates this jacket to 1986 and the manufacturer was Golden MFG Co., Inc. Made in USA, this is an iconic field jacket.
Used and in good vintage condition with general signs of wear, discolouration and abrasion. There are some paint marks to the lower right arm (as worn) at the back and a tiny bit on the collar. Freshly laundered and ready for its new owner.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
