Vintage Barbour Bedale A835 Classic Brown Wax Jacket Coat with Liner XXL
John Barbour, founded J.Barbour and Sons Ltd in South Shields, North of England, in 1894 and started out as an importer of oil cloth. Barbour was the originator of waxed cotton motorcycle suits and jackets and are synonymous with high quality waxed and quilted outdoor jackets and apparel.
For Barbour fans, a true vintage wax cotton Barbour Classic Bedale Jacket, Made In England from English fabric. This also has a quilted zip out liner.
In 1980, Barbour produced their first short, lightweight, Thornproof jacket, the Bedale. Originally designed for riding, the Bedale is favoured by many Britons, from royalty to pop icons. Made with medium weight waxed cotton the Bedale is a great all-year-round jacket.
Used and in fair to good vintage condition with general signs of wear, abrasion, creasing and discolouration throughout.
Please note wax cotton has a unique smell even when new, and over time for a vintage jacket this can become a stronger more enhanced smell, which in this case is also musty. PLEASE BE AWARE - If you have never had a wax jacket and are unfamiliar with the type of smell then we would not recommend to buy a used vintage wax jacket.
All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear and will not smell like new, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
EXTERNAL MEASUREMENTS: Please check against a similar garment of your own that fits you well, measuring flat and fully zipped or buttoned up (if applicable) on a flat surface:
