As its name suggests, the blue worker jacket was originally designed as a utilitarian garment, first worn by railway labourers and engineers in France in the late 1800s. The French name - bleu de travail - literally translates to 'blue work'; this simple functional jacket typically with patch pockets looks great on its own or for layering.
This is a 'Sanforized' jacket which is a sign of quality. In sanforization, the fabric is stretched, fixed and shrunk in length at the mill in order to reduce the amount of shrinkage that can occur after the first wash.
Used and in fair to good vintage condition with general signs of wear, abrasion/ fraying and discolouration throughout. Not quite perfect but a cracking jacket with bags of character and a great washed and worn look. Freshly laundered and ready for a new owner.
All our vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit. Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to a similar item that fits you well.
